Hi there! Thanks for tuning into my video.
This video was made specifically to be part of the Adelaide FringeVIEW event in May 2020 – the folks at the Adelaide Fringe gave us artists an opportunity to bring our art to audiences even during the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 virus, by way of “20 minute” videos.
I usually perform ‘covers’ so for a change I’m giving give you some of my originals, together with the story behind the writing of them! A mixture of chat and music, performed for video but effectively as a live performance – no multiple re-takes, no massive studio engineering. With the help of my amazing soundman, video operator, recording engineer, marketing guru … oh, and husband … John we’ve had fun being a bit inventive with locations for the chats, and fashioned up a little stage/performance area for the songs. This is me, performing for you – I hope you enjoy it!
